SIR AP MCCOY COLLECTION
Gold Cup '97
A young AP McCoy, rode to success in only his second attempt at the Gold Cup on Mr Mulligan in 1997. In his own words “The Gold Cup is the pinnacle of the sport, that’s the one you really want to win, it’s the Champions League, it’s a major.” This artwork features the famous blue and red colours Sir AP wore while riding Mr Mulligan.
Produced in the studio by Sir AP himself, the paints used to create the original were infused with the DNA of Cheltenham and Aintree, the turf from both racecourses and needles from the hedge rows of Aintree.
