Rugby World Cup winner in 2007 and Springbok rugby legend. Percy was the first South African to reach 100 test matches for his country. Newlands Rugby Stadium provided the DNA for Percy’s artwork, his home ground and venue of his 100th test cap for South Africa.

“My chosen moment in rugby is the image of me kicking. It shows who I am, what I stand for and where my rugby dreams first became real. The blue and white colours used are the colours of the South African College School’s rugby team jersey. I literally kicked off my rugby career on the fertile grass of the SACS rugby fields. This image of me kicking was taken during the Rugby World Cup Final in 2007. I will forever treasure the memories of representing my country and playing my role in winning the Rugby World Cup. I continue to learn so much from this beautiful game called rugby.”
