LOUISE RICKARD COLLECTION
Louise represented Wales 112 times as a lock, wing and centre making her one of the most capped players in women’s rugby history. She captained Wales in their first victory over England and was part of the only Welsh team to ever win a test series in South Africa. In 2009 Louise was nominated as BBC Wales Sports Personality of the Year. Taff’s Wells Rugby Club in Wales, the venue of Louise’s most memorable rugby moment has its turfs DNA woven into her unique artwork.
“My most memorable rugby moment was being a member of the Welsh Ladies team in 2009 which won 13-10 against Ireland in Taffs Well, Wales. This special memory was the culmination of a very successful season, beating Ireland on home soil and winning the Triple Crown in Wales with the Welsh supporters fully behind us. A dream fulfilled.”
