Doddie Weir

Doddie Weir Scottish Rugby legend and global champion for the fight against MNDF, collaborated with co-founder Andy Drysdale to create his collection.

Doddie selected 5 images from his rugby career and extraordinary life to make up his collection. The number 5 represents his position and jersey number while playing.
Doddie’s collection consists of 5 images of which he created 5 originals of each - making a total of 25 original artworks to be sold, raising funds to benefit his foundation.

The hallowed turf of Murrayfield, the venue of Doddie’s first cap for Scotland and the home of Scottish Rugby, provided the DNA for Doddie’s original artworks.

“The Story behind this artwork is on the 4 March 1995: Doddie Weir of Scotland hands off Neil Jenkins of Wales during the Five Nations match between Scotland and Wales at Murrayfield in Edinburgh. Scotland won 26-13.”

"Great to beat Wales at Murrayfield, what a memory. This is an image that we have used at My Name’5 Doddie Foundation events. It shows the power and speed of the game – people seem to love this image.”
