The first Scottish player to reach 100 international test caps for Scotland. Chris Paterson, created his piece of artwork in collaboration with co-founder Andy Drysdale.

The DNA from the turf at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff where Chris reached his milestone of 100 test caps on the 13/2/2010 is forever infused in his unique artwork.

“It’s ironic that my greatest rugby memory comes from the home of Scotland's most historic foe, Twickenham. I believe it was one of my best individual performances for my country. I had been badly injured the year before and been told that I may struggle to play International rugby again. I fought back from injury and 12 months later, due to injury to one of our fullbacks, I was included in the game against Ireland. I started against Ireland and played 'OK', but still felt the needs to prove to myself that I deserved to be back in, not just as injury cover. Aligned to this I had set myself a goal to play in my 4th Rugby World Cup later that year and I needed to perform well in order to reach that goal. This was the game that made the effort to get back from injury worthwhile.

The image is from a penalty in the 4th minute (first kick of the game) and I like the fact that the image shows my concentration firmly on the ball!

I also really enjoyed playing at Twickenham, I loved the responsibility and the challenge of taking on our oldest enemy on their own turf and performing under that pressure. One of my other favourite games was England v Scotland in 2005's Championship where I had one of my best attacking performances of my career but I missed a tackle that I should have made and it really bothered me for a long, long time. In the game that my image is from I made a memorable tackle that helped put my mistake from 6 years earlier to bed!”
